APPOINTMENT BOOKING

  • All appointments are booked by phone 705-740-6867
  • Phones are answered: 9-12 Monday to Friday; 1-4 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday
  • When you call, please listen to the entire message to make the appropriate selection
  • We have a phone queue system – calls are answered in sequence
  • Appointments either in person or telephone

AT THE OFFICE

  • Masks are Mandatory and must be worn at all times within our facility (exceptions – under 2, disability precluding masks)

AFTER HOURS

  • We encourage you to contact our office first for all concerns including same day issues as we do have same day appointment spots
  • If we are not able to fit you in, or if after hours or on weekends, the Peterborough Community FHO After Hours Clinic runs Monday to Friday 5-8 pm, Saturday 9-3 pm, Sunday 9-12.

  • Phone lines open at 4pm on Weeknights and 830am on Saturday and Sunday
  • Location of appointment at On-Call Physician’s Office (be well centre, Turnbull or Alexander Building)
  • After 8:00 pm Monday to Friday, After 3:00 pm Saturday and 12:00 pm Sunday, please call Telephone Health Advisory Services (THAS) at 1-866-553-7205 to speak to a registered nurse.

PRACTICE POLICIES

  • We require 24-hours-notice for cancellation of appointments.
  • Missed appointments and cancellations with less than 24-hours-notice may be charged to patients.
  • While we try to refill fax prescriptions within 48 hours, we request the courtesy of a seven day business notice.
  • We strive for same day access for urgent concerns, and schedule by calling for appointments only.
  • We aim to treat our patients courteously at all times, and expect our patients to treat our staff in a similarly respectful way.
  • We have a Zero Tolerance policy, whereby abusive, aggressive, or violent behaviour towards our staff will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
  • Anyone who is abusive or aggressive to members of staff will be sent a letter from the Practice stating that this behaviour will not be tolerated, and may result in removal from the Practice patient list.
